We are based in the Tourist Information Centre within the Ayers Rock Resort, town centre, Yulara.
It’s an easy 5 minute walk from Desert Gardens or Sails in the Desert. From the Campgrounds or Outback Pioneer Hotel it’ll take you about 10-15 minutes to walk. Alternatively you can drive, there is plenty of parking behind IGA.
When you pop into the Tourist Information Centre, we share our booth with Uluru Segway Tours. Look for our signs. When you arrive we can give you your device and help get you set up.
If you’ve booked in advance, allow about 10minutes for us to give you a quick run through on how Uluru Audio Guide works. Once you’ve got the gist of it, you’ll be off and away!
Bookings are not essential, in saying that we have a limited amount of devices. It can be a good idea to book in advance to avoid missing out, especially if you are travelling during school holidays or in the our peak season (June-August).
Yes you can! If you want to share a device, be our guests. In saying ask us about our family hire device rates.
The Uluru Audio Guide is a simple device that has one core function; to provide you with a rich, interactive, self-guided tour experience. Once you’ve hired the audio guide all that you need to do is simply turn it on, select your language and follow the prompts.
The Uluru Audio Guide uses GPS technology and can be enjoyed in or while walking on one of the many walks in the National Park.
Don’t forget to charge the device overnight so it has a full battery the next morning.
Whilst we do use technology similar to an app, we only hire devices. The reason behind this is our devices have been specially formatted to ensure that they have the most accurate GPS and won’t drop out or go to sleep, and miss playing you some information.
Through hiring a device, it’ll save your phone some battery for other important things, like photos!
